Should there be matrix match type of questions in IIT JEE considering that they treat a student who knows 10% on par with the one who knows 90% for a particular question (both of them get zero mark)?

Instead of removing such quetions altogether, one good alternative would be to have marks given per row (eg 2 per row) -- which would effectively make it a multiple-choice multiple-answer question, but with 4 questions having the same options. The grading would be much better that way.
