Now, they are going to conduct their own entrance exam called ISAT. Considering what appears to be great future in space science & technology in India - thanks to ISRO - those who are interested may have to add one more entrance test in the list of entrance tests they would need to take. Anyone in the world Intermediate release of the virtual classroom is available now. While entering the online live class, the update may take place. In addition to the connection speed setting options of 28.8 Kbps, 33.6 Kbps, 56 Kbps, ISDN, Cable/DSL & LAN, a new option has bee added. This option is called, " Wireless (300 Kbps)" and as the name suggests, the users with wireless connection should try it out in addition to the usual settings for the best experience. |

The VLE system has been upgraded and here are a few changes:
- Some change in the way feedback was shown in linked comprehension type, in matrix match type & in some more than one option correct type of questions in tests. To see this, take cursor to the option selection area after the attempt or while reviewing past attempt for the types of questions mentioned above.
- Modifications in default theme and quick theme changer switch.
- Captcha support added to email verification based self account creation.
- Database setting optimisation should increase the site speed, Firefox latest version is recommended for best experience.

Anyone in the world With frequent editing in study material, a need for versioning in file names is being felt so that students just by looking at the file name can check if they have the latest version of the study material or an older version. Today, version 3.0 on Capacitors in published and the file name has the suffix 3.0. When this file is published again due to updates then its name can have the appropriate suffix (say, 3.1 for example).
Incidentally, the file on Capacitors provides an extensive proof of what is referred to as look alike of Wheatstone bridge in resistive network. |

Anyone in the world Some comments are given below. Just for the sake of clarity, the marks mentioned are subject-wise cut-offs. There is an overall cut-off for JEE which is not equal to the sum of the subject-wise cut-offs but is calculated in a different way giving it much higher value.
Pragati Singh: Yes, considering all prospectives, low cut-offs are justified as not only the preparation counts at the time of examination but also the mental level, nervousness etc. have an important role to play.
Maneesh: IIT means strength in all subjects. It is very bad to see 0 cutoff of last year in Physics & it is 1'st time in the history of IIT .......
Pratyush Dwivedi: There should be actually no system of cut off in the papers as it is one of the toughest competition. It really mars the talent of the student because of weakness in one subject. Weakness in a subject doesn't mean that the student is talentless.
Akhil Singh: If the cut off for general category is this what about SC/ST?
Deepti Mishra: There should be some cut off limit in every subject to maintain the standard of IIT.
Shubhanshu Ranjan Tiwari: No, because if cut-off of the india's toughest exam is 0,5,3 then the value of exam is negligible and it is better to take admission in local colleges.
Haseeb: It is shame for whole india.
